Hello! Like a trainee administrator on their first day I'm new at this, so give me cautious stroking (ego only) rather than brutal beating for my lapses into either a) overfamiliarity or b) aloof distancing. When forwarding emails do I say sincerely, truly, regards, thanks in advance? Is netiquette, which is itself an obnoxious term, worth adhering to in the workplace or should I just skip to being archly formal in all my e-interactions?
Like that. Well, we can only hope that as my career purpose reveals itself I can dispense with the incredibly dense style (no sniggering you!) and begin to introduce some rather more jovial and shocking entries into this blog! Literature analysis! Policy review! Album dismantling a few months past the bleeding edge of cool (we call them retrospective)! Scandalising gossip!
What trials and tribulations await you who venture into this seething heart of neurotic impulses and blasé (Cavalier is a Vauxhall remember?) disregard for good journalistic spellchecking? If you want more of this go to the Grauniad website - it is veritably swollen with typos that I am sure the editors allow to sneak in from a high concept view of what they consider to be 'real'. This is depressing 'real' as opposed to holiday in Magaluf 'real' or falling in love 'real'.
So having introduced myself (more details? I'm an Educational Support Worker, a job title that is longer than my career prospects in that field, I'm a grizzled 23, and I have just in the last few weeks escaped from a falling lift, wrestled a civil servant, made sushi for the first time and had septum surgery!)
Nice to meet you too. Next time?
